  1. T - Mobile Dance

T Mobile was very creative in making this commercial by using music, dancing, and what a better place than in a train station where one finds all kinds of people. They did not use sex, women, or men to get your attention. You do not even know what kind of commercial it is until the end. They used the one thing that many people enjoy; music and dancing. The targeted audience was to everyone, it has people of all ages and many different ethnicities.
The commercial starts at the train station, everyone just walking to get to where they need to get to. Then the music starts playing, some people look up to see where the music is coming from, a few people in the middle of the station start dancing to the music, it goes into another song and more people start to dance. The dancing was clean and original, it made you just want to be a part of it. There are people dancing at the lower level and at one point some dancing at the upper level and towards the end almost everyone is dancing at the lower level.
As the music is changing to different songs, all playing only for a short time, more and more people join in the dancing. Until at the end of the commercial, as soon as the music stops, everyone stops dancing just as quickly as it started and it was back to normal like if it never happened. People are walking around to get to where they were going and talking on their phones.
The advertisers were smart in the way they had some people using their phones just to talk on, while others were using them to take pictures, and still more were even shooting videos and sending them to friends. They wanted it to be obvious that there are so many different ways one can use their phone.
The angle was different all the time, sometimes it was from the top, some at eye level, some at individual people, and some in small groups. They do not use a lot of color, sometimes you think you are seeing a black and white commercial and then a little bit of color comes into the picture. I think this helps it because it is not over stimulating with as many people as there are.
The way they used the different types of music and dancing made it appealing to everyone so everyone who wants to participate can, young people are dancing to oldies and even older people are dancing to newer music.
The ethos they use to get you to buy their cell phones was the last statement they made “Life is for sharing”, because you are always able to share your life with the ones you love.
The logos would be how they made you think that even when life is so busy you can always take a little time to have fun, no matter where you are or with who and you will always be in connection as long as you have a cell phone to talk to your loved ones or to take a picture of what is happening around you to share with your loved ones and to have a copy of those memories.
The pathos they used was all kinds of emotions. People are busy not paying any attention to anyone. The music starts and it starts making a small group of people happy and as it keeps going everyone appears to be having fun, from the young to the old. Even you, as a remote audience, you can feel the happiness they are enjoying and you want to be a part of it. You want to be one of the people in the crowd so that you can dance too.
